KOTA BARU: The Islamic School Development Foundation today handed over religious books and school uniforms to 130 students of Madrasah Muhammadiah Beta Hilir.

Presenting the donation to the school’s principal Mohamad Jalaluddin As-sayutti was the foundation's executive chairman Datuk Dr Mashitah Ibrahim.

Dr Mashitah said the foundation’s aim in donating about RM8,000 to the school was to help ease their burden.

“The foundation will also help the school by allocating some funds to construct new buildings where the fire had destroyed 14 blocks.

Jalaluddin thanked the foundation for the donation, stating that it would help both the school and the students especially those from the less fortunate group.

The school’s hostel was destroyed in a fire on Dec 28, which left more than 100 students homeless.
